So updates.

My wonderful husband got a job! An amazing job that’s a totally something from God. His timing is perfect. Always perfect. Never late and never early.

The only thing about this new job is that the commute is pretty crazy. Well our commute is already crazy. It used to take 15 minutes for me to get to work. Now it takes about 30-45 minutes. UGH! And by bus it takes an hour. Annoying.

So our solution is to move a little bit up north that way Nick’s and my commute won’t be so horrible. It would actually be easier for both of us to get to work. That’s why we’ve been actively looking for a new place.

Now for baby news. I am feeling really good. Sometimes I feel so good that I wonder if I’m still pregnant. I’ve read online that I’m not the only one who feels this way. I am actually one of the lucky ones since I don’t have to puke my guts out. Well a good sign that I am still good and still pregnant is that my boobs are as sore as they can be. Amen! Who would’ve thought I’d be thanking God for sore boobs?

I’ve been hearing news of friends and family getting miscarriages and it’s making me real sad. Sad for my friends and really scared for my baby. It makes me cry thinking about what my friends and family have gone through. It’s hard to think about it and I don’t want to think about it. But it does happen. And it sucks!

I talked to a good friend of mine recently about all these things I’m hearing and she told me, “Just hold your belly and thank God for life and blessing. Not out of fear but out of thanksgiving.”

I am doing just that. Thanking God for his goodness. His love for me and my baby. For the life that is in me.

I’m getting all choked up. :’(

Ok now let’s see if I can get you guys and myself to smile a little bit. Here’s a photo below of our the little pandesal at 7 weeks. This was our first ultrasound. We thought we were at 10 weeks but we were only at 7. As measured by the doc. Our little one is right where the dotted line is.

And my belly at 10 weeks. BTW, I am wearing Nick’s jammies. Hehe! It’s so comfy and  warm!

The dish I was craving for last week. Chinese hot and sour soup. Of course, because Nick won’t just take me to a restaurant to have some, I had to make my own.

And for the haircut I’m going to get pretty soon.

That way, my little pandesal won’t be grabbing any of my hair, AND I still get to look like a rock star. Well even if Robyn’s a pop star, I will definitely feel like a star either way.

My mom asked me the other day if there was one specific thing that I kept on craving for. I noticed that I didn’t. It keeps changing everyday. One moment I want noodles, the next moment I want pizza. Who craves for pizza? I have never craved for it!

I think what makes my husband happy is seeing the big smile on my face after I’ve taken a bite out of something that I’ve been craving for. One minute I’m a monster with the scary voice saying, “I want some french fries!!! NOWWW!!!” (GROWL!!!!) and then one bite I turn into an angel. HAHA! How awful for my husband!

Last night, my husband said. “You’re sooo moody!” I said. “I am NOT moody! You’re moody!!! Don’t ask me questions like that!!!!”

Oh my! This is just the beginning.

Dear hunny, I apologize in advance for the monster that keeps coming out. I don’t mean for it to come out. It just does. I guess when it does come, all you have to do is feed it.

Second, I guess I was so excited with starting this blog that I got my calculations wrong. I’m on my 7th week of pregnancy and not 8.  So next week our little pandesal will be a little bigger than a raspberry. Far fron being a pandesal. Right now, it’s just a little blueberry.

The great thing about this 7th week is that, it is around this time that I should be on my hands and knees puking my guts out. Thank God I have not felt that. I want to say, “It already seems like an easy pregnancy”. But I don’t want to speak to soon. Next week might change.

As for cravings, I have been craving for different things. Not one specific thing. The funniest one is pizza. HA! I have never craved or looked for pizza. I guess there’s always a first. And right now, I am fancying some burgers and fries. Oh my! Must not eat junk food! Although last night, I made a really healthy version of mac and cheese. How’d I make it healthy? I added cauliflower. A whole head of cauliflower. Pureed it with cheese. So instead of cups and cups and cups full of cheese, I only used used a little bit of cheese and used some boiled cauliflower. It was to die for! I still have some leftover so I’m looking forward to eating that when I get home. You honestly wouldn’t think there was cauliflower in there. The husband loved it too. So that’s always good.

And so I’m off. We shall see if I feel like posting some preggy photos. haha! :-p Hope everyone is doing well.

PS. Nick and I are off to see Nick’s parents this weekend. We are sooo tempted to tell them but we want to wait until Thanksgiving when the whole family is there. Pray that we don’t slip. haha!

First I tell my friends, “We just got off the pill and we’re going to start trying.”  Two weeks later, we’re pregnant!

WHAT?!?!?!

It’s seems so fast! I’m already on my 8th week and we just scheduled our first prenatal check-up for next week.

I can’t believe this is happening. This is the fastest answered prayer we’ve ever had.

This is a short first post but soon, I will try to have a weekly post or even more just so I can write down what’s going on in my head.  And if I get the hang of this, I might keep it until after the my pandesal is born.
